I hope this was a good lesson to her. I hope it proved that simply being able to utilize a barrier is not enough of a defense. She could not even hold it that long without it weakening her. All her big talk just came back and slapped her in the face. It would be different if she had the training of a warrior and her miko powers were stronger. Until now she's never needed any of that and closed off her mind to their warnings. Life can be a bitch sometimes when it's trying to help you mature. Another thing, she needs to open her eyes and see that her 'little' brother has grown up and no longer needs to be babied by her. One more thing, I am not a politically correct person either and believe that crap to be nothing more than bullshit. So you won't offend me one bit.

Thank the kamis that there is another one of us out there that isn't PC. :-) I think that Kagome might just get the picture now... hopefully. Her view on Souta is still somewhat deluded because he is her younger brother, but you are right she does need to see him for the man that he is instead of the child that he was. I thought she behaved rather silly and childish in trying to assert her independence. Is she that big of an idiot to not realize what her new position means? She's going to be a public figure now, open to reporters trying to interview her or take pictures. There will be those jealous of her, hate her because she's human, and will either try to hurt her in some way or kill her or kidnap her. She's not trained to completely defend herself and a barrier is not going to be enough, just as he proved. She'd better wake up, grow up, and stop seeing things through rose colored glasses.
