I'm a thirty-seven year old chick, oops, um woman (hehehe) who loves anime, writing and goofing off with my friends and cats. I actually live just outside of a nursing home, (this is a long, sometimes boring and mostly sad tale that I'm too lazy to go into at the moment more than it starting with a house fire which basically turned my life upside down and inside out) so I spend a good bit of my day hanging with my friends there. I'm currently working on a novel, but most of my writing these days has been centered on a series of fanfiction stories based on the tv series, "The Sentinel" to which I've added a new character. My favorite of the stories I'm currently writing brings my "Sentinel" folks to Japan, where one is promptly pulled through the bone eater's well....oddness quickly follows! lol Well, off to write and dodge cat paws! (Ironically, I once had a cat who adopted us while we watched an Inuyasha episode...how could we not name him after our favorite hanyou? Even if he was the wrong species! lol)
Felt like adding more....maybe it's the wonderful pain meds I took a while ago...ya think? lol Anyway, I got my first computer when I was about 21 years old. It came with Prodigy (later known as Prodigy Classic) software already installed. I soon fell head over heels in love with their message boards and quickly found a group who called themselves the "MacPackers", a group who loved the show MacGyver as much as I did! It was my first taste of fanfiction, and I just couldn't get enough of reading my new friends' stories. Before I knew it, I found myself wanting to do more than read them. I was still new (well, duh!) but became totally entralled with the idea of taking my favorite adventurer out to play. (I promise that I always returned him to his creator in basically the same condition that I borrowed him in!) This went on until the powers that be decided they weren't making money on the old Prodigy and did away with it. (Talk about a sad day for me! I still miss that old service to this day!)
For a long time, life got in the way of my writing. It's almost like relearning all over again. In recent months, however, I've found a bit of comfort in returning to my roots as a would-be writer. My mother, who also happened to be my best friend in the world, passed away on June 10th, and it seemed like, after over a year of taking care of her as her health declined, that my purpose in life had been fullfilled with nothing else to occupy my time. Then one especially dark, rainy day, I found myself remembering the old days when my mom would read one of my stories and gush about how good it was. (Yes, moms aren't known for their unbiased opinions, but she seemed to truly enjoy my stories. I think her praise is what kept me writing back then.) I finally realized that wallowing in my grief wasn't what she would want for me. I sat down that very day and started working on my first fanfiction in over ten years. Sometimes, when I'm typing away, working on an especially stubborn scene, I swear I can hear mom urging me on.
So that, as they say, is that....I hope that I haven't bored you too much. Of course, that's assuming that anyone even bothers to read this! lol I just may add more some time when I'm feeling especially chatty.
InuYasha is an eccentric, reclusive rock star who hires Kagome as his personal assistant. She gets in a lot of shady, dangerous situations helping him look for the missing Shikon no Tama formula.
You know, I can't quite grasp someone thinking the love angle happened too fast. There are just some people who are meant to be. Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic, though. Some might call it less flattering things, but it's just destiny as far as I'm concerned. Then again, I've been an Inu/Kag fan from day one! lol
Keep up the great work...though I sure miss Shippo. I was thrilled at the arrival of Kirara.
Thank you, I agree with you on the love angle - I happen to know from experience how quickly two people can fall in love. And I am a total Inu/Kag shipper, InuYasha and Kagome were destined to be together, as InuYasha says at the end of the manga. They are soul mates.
I am glad you are enjoying the story! Sorry there was no place for Shippo in this AU, I had to leave him and Rin out.
Thanks for a wonderful story! I'm not too good with reviews, really. If I like a story, I tend to prattle. If I don't like one, I don't really have the heart to say I don't because different people like different things. All I can say is that I loved this one...though I sure missed Shippo!

They almost hadn't made it out of the well and well house. He was hurt so badly this time. Worse then she had ever seen him. With his left arm around her shoulders she struggled to get him to the house. She knew she wasn't going to make it on her own.
Desperation made her do the one thing she knew she shouldn't.

InuYasha, Kagome, Miroku and Sango are on the hunt for the Shikon no Tama when Kagura makes a sudden attack. Was she really there, or was it a new battle that will begin? When InuYasha's wants his physical apperance, how will it affect his relationship with Kagome? And how do you fight an enemy, that you can only see? InuYasha is in a battle of his life, how does he know that something very powerful is at stake?
I'm not terribly good at writing reviews, so be patient with me. I have to say, this has been the best chapter so far, and there have been some goodies! Thanks for the great story. Oh, and I've enjoyed having little Rin along for the journey! lol

Some may see "your" Sess as OOC, but all things taken into account, I see it as pretty close to accurate. After all, we've seen the "ice lord" grow up quite a bit thanks, I think, to Rin's influence! I totally hated him early on in the anime series, but I've come to like him these days. Especially after Rin's almost death in Final Act. Looking forward to the coming chapters greatly! Has me thinking of all kinds of ideas for my own stories, which I owe you for since my muse has been hiding away for a while now! Thanks again for the story, and keep up the good work!

Thanks, I have a hard time with Sesshomaru's character for a lot of reasons, but Sesshomaru in battle was a pretty hard role to write him in. In the anime and manga, I had to go watch a few more episodes and read a little more to get his character as accurate in battle as possible. But do to the fact that InuYasha's human group was there in the way, I could see him getting a 'little' frustrated over the matter.
I don't mind Sesshomaru, its all the fans and the horrible things they have done to him I don't particular enjoy. (The Sess/Kag pairing for instance). I'll shall update as soon as I can! Trying to finish 'Modern Hanyou' and start on my next one as soon as I close my polls on ff.net. The "lovely" PhoenixRising? (Geez, blushing big time here! roflmao) However, I am TRULY touched by the honorable mention and really enjoyed the unexpected plot twist there. I've had a few plot bunnies bouncing around my apartment lately as to how I could introduce my series, The Sentinel, to our fav jewel shard hunters. Problem was, they kept ducking into their little holes, but this has given a couple of them the courage to stay where I can examine them! Definately owe ya one there!

Needed a little more Hojo bashing! lol! I liked it anyway. (Still don't know for sure why I hate him so much. He just gives me the willies!) I started to say that the only way Kagome would be attracted to Hojo was if hell froze over....considering my Saints are in the Superbowl In less than two days, though, I guess that has already happened!!!! ROFLMAO big time!!!!!!!!! (Sorry, I'm just so darn happy that my boys are in the big game, it just jumped in there!)
I really enjoyed this! Especially the Hojo bashing!!!! I have to agree about him. I just can't stand that little twit. There's another fanfiction story where someone made him a stalker...and it seemed to fit so well that I sometimes forget that it was fanfiction and not actual. It fits him too well, ya know! Keep up the great work!
