Kagome climbed out of the well wearing her usual signature green school girl uniform, brushed her skirt off and walked towards Kaede’s village in silence. Inuyasha had said that he couldn’t come to pick Kagome up this time because he had something to do…now if that wasn’t fishy what was? But right now who cared about Inuyasha? Who cared about anything at all!!!??? She was so screwed! She was in deep shit!!!! She was f’ing in trouble! She was…

‘Okay Kagome take a deep breath…you’re going to live through this….’ Kagome said to herself over and over again. ‘No I’m NOT!!!!!’ she screamed inwardly. Even her mom…. ‘OH HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!’ Kagome thought. She didn’t even know!!!! Oh she was a dead girl now!!!!

‘Stop freaking out for a second would you? You’re acting more scatterbrained than normal.’ her conscious said. Kagome decided to ignore that.

Sango. She had to tell Sango. She’d know what to do. Kagome made her way towards the village silently. The last person she’d want to run into was a demon…..even half. She shook her head as if trying to rid herself of certain thoughts but she felt like it was just yesterday.

The Inu-tachi were on another one of their little ‘journeys’ towards the jewel shards (that Kagome felt) when Kouga ran into them, pissing Inuyasha off again. Always seemed he was way too overprotective of Kagome when he showed up like Kouga was going to do something to her. Kouga left a while later (after arguing and fighting with Inuyasha and throwing a few insults his way). The group decided to camp in a clearing nearby a hot spring (no surprise there.)

That’s when Sesshomaru decided to make himself known. He had been alone when he had come. Why had he come? Even Kagome didn’t know, after all, they had given him all the recent information about Naraku, he didn’t want the jewel shards, what with all his….

‘This Sesshomaru is in no need of those fragments you call a jewel for he is more than enough powerful.’

Kagome giggled then cleared her throat. It wouldn’t do to laugh at or about him even if he wasn’t here. He was funny sometimes though….Was he here for the katana? No….but why then? Kagome always blushed when their group came across him. And who wouldn’t? Take one second to compare Inuyasha to Sesshomaru and then answer.

She’d never tell Inuyasha that she compared the two, it wasn’t fair but life was life and she wasn’t getting any younger. She blushed, remembering when Sesshomaru actually answered her…like he acknowledged her presence. She hadn’t been a ‘lesser being’ like he always put.

-Flashback-

“Ano... Sesshomaru-sama…what are you doing here?” Kagome asked.

“This Sesshomaru has…” he started.

“SESSHOMARU!!!!” Inuyasha yelled and jumped up and unsheathed his sword, transforming it. Kagome shook her head. ‘Not again.’ Leave it to him to jump right into action. Literally.

“Hn. Indeed.” He said watching as Inuyasha charged towards him like a mad baka. Any girl would’ve melted into a puddle of mush as Sesshomaru smirked, his gold eyes glinting in the moonlight. His arms crossed as he watched Inuyasha calmly. The breeze made his hair sway back and forth a little and Kagome started to blush madly, trying to fan herself. Good thing Inuyasha wasn’t looking her way; otherwise he would’ve seen her or what Sesshomaru was doing to her.

Sesshomaru’s attention suddenly directed towards her, gave her a look and CRAP…had he perhaps smelt her arousal? He hadn’t shown it…oh well…He ran a hand through his hair and Kagome glared. Was he trying to torture her?! Well he was doing a damn fine job of it too! Usually it was Kagome who had to calm Inuyasha down when it came down to his brother but she found no words to speak as she started to cough violently when Sesshomaru asked her if she was well. WTF did he care anyway? And now thinking about it, it wasn’t the first time he’d asked that.

“Why are you here!?” Inuyasha yelled, now noticing that Sesshomaru was looking at Kagome. His Kagome. He stepped in front of her and growled at him, making Sesshomaru smirk wider.

“Hmm….well now Inuyasha, trying to act all possessive around your Aniki and now too?” Sesshomaru said.

“I’m asking the questions here!” Inuyasha said. Sango and Miroku watched from the sidelines in silence. That was one ‘dead demon walking,’ both of them thought. Yelling at Sesshomaru…

Sesshomaru grabbed Inuyasha up by the collar, choking him for all he was worth and said coldly, “You Hanyou are on this Sesshomaru’s lands… Do not yell at me or I will have your life.”

“Da-mn...you…” Inuyasha said coughing, trying to break free.

“Ano…” Kagome began and walked towards the both of them, “I’m sorry Sesshomaru-sama but…”

“You need not apologize Kagome.” Sesshomaru said dropping Inuyasha on the ground…quite hardly in fact. He walked past Kagome and then stopped by her and whispered something in her ear which made her turn to stare at him and watch his retreating back.

‘How very interesting.’ Miroku thought looking at the both of them and their interaction. ‘How VERY interesting indeed.’

-End Flashback-

“Hey Kaede-san! I’m here!” Kagome said merrily as she stepped into the hut. The old woman said hello and then Kagome stared at the fire silently. He’d said that she didn’t need to apologize but why?

“My Child. What is on ye’s mind?” Kaede said softly. She was not herself lately and it worried her.

“Nothing to worry about Kaede!” Kagome began hastily, trying to change the subject. “Do you know where Sango is by any chance?”

“Ah yes. I believe she said something about waiting for you and then both ye can take a bath in the hot springs.” Kagome then nodded and went on her way. She ran into Sango who was sitting in the shade by a tree, eyes closed and stroking Kirara’s hair/fur.

“Sango!!! Sango!!” Kagome said running over to her. Sango opened her eyes and waved hello. She got up, only to see Kagome suddenly out of breath and on her knees. Worried she ran over to her.

“Kagome! What’s the matter with you? It’s not like you to collapse to the ground! Come on, I believe a warm bath will you do you a world of good.” She pulled Kagome up and Kagome, still feeling weak followed Sango slowly. What was wrong with her? She was always able to walk for days with Inuyasha without breaking a sweat! Then she stopped walking and then thought back to why Inuyasha hadn’t come for her. It was her that’d sent him on his way to…and he’d listened because the way she had said it made him freak.

-Flashback-

“Inuyasha! Inuyasha! I need you to do me a favor! Please! Pretty please?!”

“Why?” Inuyasha said from where he was sitting on one of the branches of the tree.

“Otherwise I’ll die…” Kagome said as if it was nothing and happened everyday.

“KYAAA!!! SAY WHAAT!?” Inuyasha said falling down from the tree branch he was sitting on. (anime style.)He got up and then said, “What is this favor Kagome?”

“I need you to go get Sesshomaru for me…” Kagome said.

‘……….’

“Um Inuyasha?” Kagome said.

‘……….’

“Why? What do you need to say to him?” Inuyasha began suspiciously.

“I need to tell him that he needs me beca…” Kagome then trailed off as if she’d uttered a swear word.

And Inuyasha fell back to the ground anime style…

-End Flashback-

She saw Sango walking away from her and she followed hastily. Both arrived at the hot spring and Kagome sighed happily looking down at the steamy spring. “Ah I think this is the best part of the Feudal era,” and then proceeded to undress, Sango following her example. Kagome closed her eyes as a small smile appeared on her face. The warm water felt so nice.

“I couldn’t agree with you more Kagome.” Sango said sinking lower into the spring. “Let’s just hope that Mr. Lecher and Inuyasha don’t accidentally show up here or even alone, pretending they got lost or something.”

“Hmmm…” Kagome said and then a few certain words jolted her out of her wonderful daydream. . Alone. ‘OH NO!!!!’ she thought.

-Flashback-

Oh those wonderful Hot springs, the heat feeling wonderful against her body. She was alone and then she saw him standing there in the moonlight…as if he hadn’t a care in the world. An accident he’d shown up unexpected? An accident he looked so damn sexy in the glow of the moonlight without even trying? She didn’t know.

‘Hey Mr. Wonderful!

Then she decided she found her voice and said, “So...You still didn’t say why.” Kagome said, hoping he’d get her drift.

He looked over to her then and then said coolly, “Because it was necessary...” Kagome blinked twice and slapped her hand against her head. Suddenly she found herself staring right into his eyes. ‘Eh?! When did he get so close? and so fast too?’ She thought.

-End Flashback-

‘And that thing led to another…’ Kagome thought inwardly. How things happened sometimes….

After a while both got out of the spring, changed into fresh, new clothes and walked back to the village. Kagome appeared in deep thought and then felt the presence of two demons…. ‘hmmm…’ she thought as she looked up from where she was looking at the ground. “Sango I need to go take a walk to uhm…clear my thoughts! Yeah…I’ll be back.” Kagome said rushing off not giving Sango a chance to reply. She found herself at the bone-eaters well and stared down into the darkness of the well. ‘The ending and a new beginning.’ Kagome thought and sat down by the well and stared at the sky. It’d only be a while now.

-Sesshomaru and Inuyasha- (entering Inuyasha’s forest.)

“Don’t ask ME why Kagome wants to see you… damn you! She just told me to come get you! Ack! Let go you bastard! Don’t kill me!” Inuyasha said as Sesshomaru held him in a death grip.

“Hn.” Sesshomaru said, smelling Kagome’s scent nearby and then dropped Inuyasha to the ground. “Stay. I will be back.”

“Oi! Don’t you dare order me around like I’m a dog!” Inuyasha yelled as he watched his brother walk away and he huffed angrily sitting on the ground.

-With Kagome and Sesshomaru- (bone-eaters well)

He stood there in the shadows watching her for a minute. She looked different than when she wore that green thing. She was actually wearing a deep blue kimono with lavender sakura blossoms scattered here and there which suited her more than that green outfit she called clothes… He walked closer to her and she watched him, her breathing hitched a little. He stood next to her and looked down into her blue eyes.

“You called.” Sesshomaru said more as a statement than a question.

“You came.” Kagome said.

“And?” he said walking closer.

“I…we…uhm…that is to say….I’m….” Kagome began gulping thinking he was going to kill her.

“And?” he said softly, coming down to sit right in front of her. Kagome had no words to say to him and instead took his hand and put it right on her stomach. She looked up waiting for him to flex his claws to kill or poison her but he looked at her with a smoldering gaze, eyes glowing with something that made her insides melt…..

“Wonderful….” Sesshomaru said and then pulled her into his lap and kissed her. He was happy! He was actually happy that she was with child! And Kagome sighed in content.

Inuyasha: (storms in waving his hands up in the air in exasperation) “That was a fic! You call that a fic Lady Nefertiti?! That made no sense at all!!!”

Sango: “Well I’ll be damned…I never thought I’d ever see him so upset..”

Inuyasha: “I’m not upset!”

Cast: “Suuure you’re not….”
