Greetings,

I'm a 25-year old lawyer from Connecticut, USA. My hobbies include fanfiction and strategy PC games. I like classic rock and watching the Discovery/History/Military channels. I'm also addicted to the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I'm a lifelong New England sports fan.

My favorite anime series include Inuyasha, Samurai Champloo, Black Lagoon, and the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I am a passionate writer, mostly for Inuyasha, and have done both long epics and short one-shots. Communities on Livejournal have really helped provide inspiration for the latter.

And yes, I am a man. I chose my username way back when in part to make the readers aware of that fact, since most fanfiction writers are female. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I also don't want to be lumped into a group that I don't belong to. My favorite fanfiction authors are all female, and I hope to live up to the lofty standards they have set.

I hope you enjoy my work, and if you have any praise or constructive criticism, please do not hesitate to leave a review.

Regards,
KB

Summary: Past Featured Story

Romance, sadness, drama, excitement...it's all here, in this alternate ending to the Inuyasha manga.

This takes place after the end of the manga…sort of. The thing is, I didn’t much care for the end of the manga. It wasn’t he ending I had hoped it would be. So, as I writer and an Inuyasha fan, I have decided to take matters into my own hands. This is my own alternate ending. It begins immediately after Naraku is defeated.

The actual ending of the manga wasn't what I thought it should be.  It was lacking in emotion, completeness, and too many words were left unsaid.  Not to mention too many things left undone.  This alternative ending hopes to do for me, and others, what the original did not.

You probably thought I forgot about your request...Nope!  I finally finished reading the manga, and I must say I'm glad I remembered to read your stories.  This was very good; thrilling, dramatic, and suspenseful.

That said, I think Rumiko Takahashi would have had a riot on her hands if she went with this 'alternate ending,' even minus the lemon.  I actually liked the ending to the manga; my biggest problem was that Kagome waited three years to return.  So although I liked your story, it doesn't really compare to the manga's ending.  For one thing, Sesshoumaru is way out of character.  As the manga winds down, he and Inuyasha come to an unspoken understanding.  They fight alongside one another, help each other out of pickles, and don't even try to kill each other anymore.  The Sesshoumaru from the beginning of the series might have been that callous to his half brother, but not after going through 500 chapters of change and growth.

I had a few other issues with your story, but they were minor ones.  I want to stress that this was still a highly enjoyable read.
