Summary:

 

They almost hadn't made it out of the well and well house.  He was hurt so badly this time.  Worse then she had ever seen him.  With his left arm around her shoulders she struggled to get him to the house.  She knew she wasn't going to make it on her own.

Desperation made her do the one thing she knew she shouldn't.

Hey everone here's chapter twenty.  I'll admit it's dialog heavy.  Kinda necassary to get where I'm going though.  Alright for those of you who read my story 'Prophecy's Sword' on DA you'll know who the new characters are.  This is taking place two years after the meeting in the woods.  I'll fill in the holes the best that I can. 

Anyway, there is a little fluff at the begining of this one.  Also a bit of nudity.  I just can't bring myself to wirte a lemon.  Just too embaressed to I guess.  I'm not planning much fluff if any in the rest of this.  I think I got it all out of my system.  Chapter nineteen was nothing but fluff.  I didn't get any reviews for that one.  Sorry if you guys didn't like it.  Was kinda bummed about it.

I fought with this chapter a lot.  I had my sister read it after every new page, my Mama too.  It's taken a lot of work to get it right.  I think I like how it turned out.  I wanted to show that Shadara is as vulnerable as anyone else.  Just that her breaking point is higher.  I think I managed that with these last three chapters.  I also wanted to establish the start of a strong friendship, and an understanding between Inuyasha and Shadara, not only as warriors who have seen all the blood and death, but also as people who are not completely human.

Important A/N:  Okay I know that a lot of you are wondering where this is going.  Also you're concerned about how much of it is about Shadara and her pack.  I really didn't mean for it to run away from me like this.  I'm sorry for that.  I do have a point and I'm getting to it.  There is something very important she has to do for Inuyasha.  I'm just trying to set it up right.  There is only one other character to come in later and his involvement is very small.  Everything will be explained shortly, I promise.  Just a few more chapters to go and it will all be over.  But before we get to the end my shifter has an important errand to run.  And it will make our favorite Hanyou very happy.  And no I'm not telling you what it is.  It would ruin the surprise.  So please hang in there to the end with me, only another four maybe five chapters to go.  I am grateful for every reader and reviewer I have you guys are great.

I'm working on a series of one-shots too called ‘What About?' I hope you'll all like it.  Thanks again for reading my work.
