Chapter one- His Sister

Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kirara were all still hunting for Naraku when they came across a village.

“Hey I see a village up ahead” Sango called to the others, seeing from the distance that there was a village up ahead.

“A good thing too, we are running out of food” Kagome stated, then she saw that Inuyasha was sniffing the air.

“What’s wrong?” she asked him. “You sense it too?” Miroku asked Inuyasha and the latter nodded his in reply.

“A demonic aura” Sango conformed it.

“Kagome do you sense any jewels?” Inu asked from Kagome and she shook her head in reply.

“Then it’s not our problem” Inu stated and started to continued to the village.

The others reluctantly followed. “What about the demon?” asked Sango falling into steps behind him.

“Its coming” Miroku warned the others as the demonic aura got closer, just as Inuyasha was going to reply to Sango.

As they positioned themselves for battle they heard a small cry, the cry of a child, and soon a small girl came running around the corner.

A demon following close behind her. It was a snake youkai.

The girl was not looking where she was running and ran straight into Inuyasha’s leg (He was the one standing in front).

As soon as she fell Sango threw her Hiraikotsu, distracting the snake from its prey.

As if on que everyone sprang into action, Inuyasha drew out his sword ready to attack, Miroku threw sacred sutras And Kagome and Shippo helped The small girl to her feet and told her to run.

“Go on run, get away” Kagome urged the girl but she stood still like she was transfixed.

“Wind scar (Kaze no kizu)”  Inuyasha yelled attacking the snake youkai, and got it in one shot. The youkai was weak.

Inuyasha was proud of what he had just done, but when he turned around any sign of a smile vanished and he stared at the girl and she stared right back at him.

He studied the little girl from head to toe.

She was small and looked about 5 or 6, she had raven black hair that reached her waist. She had hazelnut brown eyes and was fair. She was dressed in a skirt that reached her knee and a blouse. She wore shoes on her foot and all her clothes were dirty.

She tilted her head as he studied her and she was studying him as well.

Inuyasha’s eyes widened as recognized the girl.

“Inuyasha is something wrong?” Kagome asked Inu confused and concerned because he was look at the girl strangely.

He didn’t tear his gaze from her as he replied “Yes-” he told Kagome and asked the girl “I thought I smelt you around”.

A small smile spread across his face as realization dawned on the girls face.

“Inu-kun” she called as a smile graced her face as she ran front and sprang to his arms and hugged him.

“What are you doing here? Where is Sesshoumaru?” Inu questioned her not a bit surprised by her reaction, plus confusing his companions.

“You know this girl, Inuyasha?” Miroku asked completely baffled.

Inuyasha nodded his head in reply, Kagome and Sango exchanged a confused looks.

“Er...”kiwi said when he looked at her for answers. “Sesshy-sama ga inai (sesshy –sama is not here)” she replied in a whisper so low that only he heard it.

“and what are you doing here?” Inuyasha question kiwi more.

“well... saa” she replied not sure how to reply to his question.

The others were exceptionally confused by now. They couldn’t hear her replies but could hear his questions. (Somewhat like a phone conversation, right? J)

“Inuyasha , who is she?” Shippo asked jumping onto Inu’s shoulder and making the girl yelp and sprint backwards and lose her balance and fall.

Thankfully for Inuyasha’s fast reflexes, he caught her right before her back collided with the floor. Shippo too got scared when she yelped and he sprang for Kagome.

“Watch it” Inu scolded the girl as he caught her and straightened up.

“Gomenasai” kiwi told shyly, apologizing.

“well...” Miroku asked Inuyasha as the girl sprang back up into Inuyasha’s arms.

“Well what?” Inuyasha asked irritated. “Who is she?” Kagome asked impatiently, she too was eager to find who the girl was, and why of all people she clung on to Inuyasha like that and why he was leaving her to and what connections they had (not in the romantic way she is too small for that).

He look at the girl and replied shortly, “Kiwi”.

Kagome went close to Inu, Shippo in her shoulders, to greet the girl but the strange girl she was she cringed away from Kagome’s touch.

“And she is afraid of strangers” Inuyasha said in reply to the other’s baffled expressions, with a snicker.

“How do you know all this?” Kagome asked now definitely irritated a bit, because he knew and was not telling anything to them.

It was not everyday that you run into stranger people, then again what else was new. Ever since they started tracking down the shikon no tama they meet a lot of strange people.

First and foremost of all was Naraku, but he at least had a reason for his behavior she didn’t.

Kiwi was looking at Inuyasha strangely, she was waiting to see what his reply would be.

“Because she is my sister” Inuyasha replied groggily.

 Everybody stared at him, before they all went in unison “you have a sister?” and at the same time Miroku went “but she is human.” Inuyasha however heard both comments, after all he did have sharp ears.

“yeah, I have a sister so?” Inuyasha replied to Kagome’s, Sango’s and Shippo’s questions a little bit annoyed.

“And she is not a hu- *slap*” he started to answer Miroku’s question but kiwi covered his mouth soo fast that it got slapped.

“shh... don’t tell them everything” Kiwi whispered in his ear her small left hand still covering his mouth.

Pulling her hand off of his mouth- easily because she was not holding it tightly- he  told her “alright, alright already”, irritated and still holding her hand so she won’t cover his mouth again.

Then again he was not the most patient person among the group of the protagonists.

“is she a hanyou like you then?” Miroku asked Inuyasha interestedly. He had got the ‘she is not a hu-‘ part and realized that he was going to tell ‘she is not a human’.

“Er... not really, it kinda hard to explain” Inu told him, not wanting to get to the story of his sister, and anyway she wouldn’t like that either.

“Well...” Miroku said again confusing Inuyasha.

“Would you stop with the well... already and tell what you want” Inuyasha exploded, yelling at Miroku.

Kiwi giggled and told “he wants to hear what you said it was hard to explain” in a small voice.

“Oh!” was all Inu was able to come up with. “Not now Miroku, it’s too long.”

“Very well then... shall we continue?” Miroku asked the others who also was listening eager to know who or what the small girl was.

“Yeah” Kagome and Sango replied.

“What about Kiwi?” Shippo asked them from where he was, top of kagomes shoulder.

“yeah what about your sister Inuyasha?” Sango too asked caringly, also concerned for the little girl with Inuyasha.

“Can she stay, since she is your sister?” Shippo asked hopeful that Inuyasha would agree to keep her with them.

Inuyasha didn’t reply at once he looked at Kiwi with raised eyebrows, silently asking weather she will stay with them.

She shrugged her shoulder (meaning whatever) getting Inu’s message. As long as She was with her Sesshy-sama or Inu-kun she was fine.

Inuyasha knew that , but he was half expecting that se would say that she want to be with her Sesshy-sama, and sighed with relief that she didn’t say that, he really didn’t want to go finding Sesshoumaru right now.

“Alright, whatever, let’s go” He said and started going to the village they were headed for.

The others followed suite and fell into steps behind him.

“So... aren’t you going to introduce your friends to me?” Kiwi questioned Inu as she repositioned herself on to his shoulder, so now she had her legs hanging onto each side of his shoulder.

Inu knew that this is how she usually sat, so he wouldn’t have to carry her- not that he minded, but just was her way.

“Inu-kun” Kiwi pleaded with her bro telling him to introduce his friends, as she started stroking his hair and sometimes his ears.

Inu grunted. He knew- from experience- that she won’t let him be if she didn’t introduce them. She was the kind of person who loved everyone, even thought she flinch from strangers touch.

So he stopped in his tracks, turned around and while pointing at each one of his companions and introduced them.

“That’s Miroku, not only is he a Monk but he is also a pervert. That’s Sango, she’s a demon slayer. And Shippo, a kitsune as you can see it thought he is demon he is pretty useless.”

Before anyone could do/say anything –about Shippo being useless- Kiwi slapped Inu across his head as soon as he finished his sentence.

“Don’t call him useless” She scolded him as she slapped him.

To everyone’s surprise Inu didn’t start yelling at Kiwi neither for hitting him nor for scolding him, which for him was very unusual –not to yell I mean. That really wasn’t like him at all.

If anyone else had done that to him he would have made them really, really, really regretted it not even a minute... scratch that, a second later.

“well... he is.” Inu shrugged it off “And that’s...” he said pointing at Kagome who he still hadn’t introduced.

“Inu-kun I know... Kikiyou-san, not?” Kiwi started but stopped mid-sentence noticing  Kagome for the first time and also that she has a few similarities to Kikiyou, but she was not her.

The others too had stunned looks on their faces, seeing as how Kiwi knew about Kikiyou, as for Inuyasha he knew this conversation would come sooner or later and he was hoping it will be sooner but that she would have whispered it in his ear as with how she talked to him all this time, he didn’t expect that she would say it out loud.

“Hai, she is not Kikiyou, kiwi. She’s Kagome Kikiyou’s reincarnation” Inuyasha told Kiwi who was still perched on his shoulder and looking very confused.

Kiwi’s eyes fogged up with tears, as she realized that Kikiyou must be dead if Kagome was her reincarnation, “Th- That means K- Ki- Kikiyou-san ga- ga...” Kiwis voice broke off unable to finish that horrible sentence that Kikiyou must be dead.

“Hai Kikiyou is dead” Inuyasha conformed it to her he said it like he didn’t even care, but everyone knew otherwise, that he really was still in love with Kikiyou.

Kiwi knew that too, not only that she also had loved Kikiyou at one time way back before she was alive, actually Kiwi had known that Kikiyou died after sealing Inu to the goshinbuku (the sacred tree), but seemed like she forgot.

That is why hearing that tears welled up in her eyes, and freaked Inuyasha out too, he could smell her tears since he couldn’t see her from where she was sitting, preached on top of his shoulder.

“Feh, don’t star crying now, after all you knew that she was dead you were there when that happened Kiwi, remember after she sealed me to the goshinbuku” Inuyasha told his sister a little bit panicked that she was going to cry.

Sniffing kiwi wiped away her tears. “Yorushiku onegaishimasu mina (Nice to meet all of you)” she said out loud in the sweet childish voice.

“Yorushiku” Kagome greeted the little girl good naturedly, with a warming smile. The others too greeted her and they continued on their journey.

“Anyway Kiwi, what was Sesshoumaru thinking leaving you in a place like that?” Inuyasha asked Kiwi, then narrowing his eyes he asked “Or is he here with you?”

Kiwi shook her head, “Iya , he isn’t here. He left me with Kaasasa-san in the village up ahead to wait until you come this way and then I can go with you no” she explained to her brother as well as she could.

As she was explaining that she was playing with his ears, that loved her soft and friendly touch, also a small purr was erupting from him- not heard by the others ofcourse.

“So what are the humans getting in return for helping a demon like Sesshoumaru?” Inuyasha asked in almost a sneer.

He knew very well from experience that humans would never help a demon, and Sesshoumaru wouldn’t stoop low enough to ask a human for help so there must have been a catch to all this.

By now they had reached the village, somehow before Kiwi had the chance to answer a woman came out of the village calling Kiwi’s name.

“Kiwi” she said when she finally reached them “Where have you been, I was worried sick, you really shouldn’t have left the village alone, especially with those demons lose outside the village and who are these people? Is he a half demon?”

The lady was about 20 years of age, with long black hair and liquid brown eyes.

“Gomen” Kiwi said looking down guilt stricken; after all she had made her –for now- guardian worry about her.

“Don’t go wandering out the village again, got it?” the lady asked Kiwi who eagerly nodded her head.

“And… who are these people?”

Cheering up Kiwi introduced the others, “This is Inu-kun (showing Inu- though she was still in his shoulder), these are his friends or companions take it any way (motioning the other), they killed the snake youkai that was practically destroying the village”.

That village had been having trouble from the Snake Youkai that Inuyasha and the other had killed earlier that day.

“I see… you people are travelers I take it” she said to them as she reached out to take Kiwi from Inu, who not too eager to give her to this unknown stranger sprang back out of reach.

Kiwi understanding why he did that said “it’s Kaasasa-san Inu-kun, Kaasasa-san” emphasizing the last word.

“Oh so you are lady Kaasasa? It is pleasure to meet you my lady Miroku said as he stepped front. “You are a pretty lady, would you care to bare my child” he asked kneeling in front of her.

Three things happened at the same time, first- Kiwi who had not seen him in perverted action before sucked in a lot of air, at the same time Kaasasa slapped him and Sango’s hiraikotsu came down on his head.

“Watch your tongue monk, there are children around” Kaasasa said meaning not only Kiwi but Shippo too, he was a kid after all.

Then Sango pulled Miroku from the ear and left “Come on Sango, I didn’t mean that. Spare me Sango” Miroku pleaded with Sango.

And somehow in that time his hand found her bum and rubbed it, that received him another slap.

“My dear Sango, that was just my hand it seem to have a mind of its own” Miroku apologized.

“yeah right monk” was Sango’s only reply.

Kiwi was blinking back in surprise at all that had just happened right now, Miroku was still pleading with Sango to forgive him when Kiwi asked “is he always like that?”

She remembered Inuyasha introducing him (Miroku) as a monk and a pervert.

Shippo, shaking his head at the two, replied “whenever he see someone pretty and young”.

“Are you all travelers?” lady Kaasasa asked again -recovering from the shock- they hadn’t answered her the first time and they nodded their heads in reply.

“And I assume you all are looking for a place to stay?” they nodded their heads again. “Well then you can stay with us” she said indicating Kiwi and herself.

“Really can they?” Kiwi asked excited. Kaasasa smiling at the little girl enthusiasm nodded her head.

“Yay” Kiwi punched the air in joy. Then looking confused she asked “You guys will stay, right?”

Kagome too laughing lightly with humor said “of course we’ll stay.”

Chapter two- His Sister (part 2)

“Here it comes” Yelled a Hanyou warning the others with him and pulling out

Tessaiga to battle with the bear demon they were perusing for the last 2 days.

They had finally succeeded in cornering the demon in the east side of the village in which they found Kiwi, The demon was fast, cunning and very strong.

This current mission had started on the very night they rescued Inu’s sis. The news had spread on the village that Inu tachi had killed the snake youkai and had asked them to kill the other youkai that was tormenting their village.

So they had agreed to help, Inu a little reluctantly cas he wanted to get back to hunting Naraku.

 Kiwi said that she would go too she really wanted to meet this Naraku person they all seem to despise so much of, Inu was okay with it,

But… Kaasasa-san had worried a lot too much, it was not only her but the whole village that lord Sesshoumaru would kill if anything were to happened to Kiwi.

Kiwi any how calmly explained that it will be okay and that Inuyasha is her brother too so there really was nothing to be afraid of, and in case Sesshoumaru came to tell him that she went with Inuyasha then no problem.

After a little bit more argument Kaasasa let Kiwi go with them but they had to defeat the demon first and restock supplies for their travels.

And that is how Kiwi too ended up in this battle with them (the protagonists). She was on Inu’s back where Kagome traveled when they were on a hurry.

“Hiraikotsu!” Sango yelled as she threw her giant boomerang at the Demon they were pursing from top of Kirara, they were in the air. Sango was in full demon slayer outfit.

The fast youkai it was it dodged her attack with ease, pissing off the already pissed of Hanyou more.

“Kaze no Kizu” Inu yelled wielding his sword and sending the wind scar at the demon, his attack grazed the demons leg but since it moved the wind scar only left a scratch.

Just when Inuyasha’s attack died down Sango’s hiraikotsu came hurtling through the air and cut off one of the demons legs making it slow, so it couldn’t dodge attacks as faster, but yet it was still pretty fast-for a demon with only three legs.

 “I’ll use my wind tunnel please cover yourselves” Miroku yelled at the others warning them to take cover before opening his wind tunnel.

Kirara landed behind Miroku –Sango on her back- Inuyasha, Kagome and Shippo were already behind him and once everyone was secure he unleashed the wind tunnel, but the demon was too strong and stood its ground.

After trying for sometime he stopped seeing as that was not working either, as soon as he closed the wind tunnel the demon attacked a blow the sent everyone of them hurling through the air and landing a good 5 feet away.

Inuyasha recovering first sprang back to his feet and attacked with his Kaze no Kizu again and the demon barely dodged it, but somehow dodged the attack.

The others too recovered fast and got up to their feet too. Kiwi who was with them ran forward towards Inuyasha not noticing the danger heading straight for her.

“Kiwi-san, watch out!” Kagome yelled out seeing the demon heading straight towards the little girl running to her brother, Inuyasha’s speed didn’t match with the demons so he wouldn’t make it in time to save his sister.

Hearing Kagomes warning yell Kiwi turned around and thankfully when the demons claws came towards her she ducked and the demons attack didn’t get her.

Inuyasha who was running towards his sister when he heard Kagome yell grabbed her from the ground where she was standing and placed her firmly in his shoulders, only right after the demon attacked.

“Watch where you’re going” Inuyasha scolded her still looking at the demon ready to attack anytime.

“Gomen, can I have a try at helping you defeat that demon?” Kiwi questioned her brother confusing the other seeing as how she didn’t seem to have any powers, but to their surprise Inu just shrugged his shoulder in the ‘go ahead, try if you want’ way.

“Arigathou (thank you)” Kiwi said “Shippo-chan, Kirara-san please cover your ears” Kiwi said covering Inuyasha’s ears with her two small hands. Then she sang a soft, low lullaby.

It was soo sweet coming from her small childish soft voice that it even made the humans sleepy, the demon who got sleepy as well staggered dizzily as its steps flattered and it slowly drifted off to sleep.

“Blacklash wave!” Inuyasha yelled killing off the demon in one strike. “omedethou (congrads) Inu-kun, you killed the demon” Kiwi yelled in triumph as she released his ears and punched the air in victory, then she fell back from his shoulders.

Inu with his fast reflexes caught her in one turn and ended up scrawled on the floor himself -Kiwi on top of him.

The others came running to Kiwi’s aid, thinking that Kiwi had been injured by the demon that they just killed.

“Is she okay?” asked Shippo, trying to get  a glimpse of kiwi’s sleeping face, to see if she was hurt while Kagome digged around her bag trying to find her first-aid kit to put on Kiwi.

“Ah… She just fell asleep. Happens every time she sing a lullaby to a demon or to a human” Inuyasha replied not looking too concerned for his sister, after all there was nothing to worry about.

Kagome dropped her search for the medicine, now interested into why that was kiwi fell asleep for her own lullaby, it just was not usual it was unusual.

Kiwi slept peacefully on top of Inuyasha just the way he had caught her when she fell, “Why is that?” Kagome questioned him curious as to why she fell asleep for her own lullaby.

“Why is what?” Inuyasha asked not getting what Kagome was talking about, he didn’t know what she was thinking any way. “You know, why did she fall asleep for the lullaby she sang?” Kagome asked Inu, her voice said she was a bit irritated at the Hanyou.

“That I don’t know you’ll have to ask her about that” was how Inuyasha replied as if obnoxious to her anger.

“I see” Kagome replied as she got up, with the others to go back to village, they still had to restock on the food and all that. Inu too got up carrying Kiwi gently as to not wake her up Shippo who had stayed with them ran after Inuyasha.

Chapter three- Angered

It was almost a month since they found that village and killed the demon tormenting the village and also got a new small companion (aka kiwi), right now they were all back in Kaede’s village.

After a fight from our beloved Hanyou of course, Kagome had asked to go back to her time to restock medical supplies and other things, like food. Inu, as always had said no and that had led to the famous fight between the two and finally the battle ended with a certain Hanyou getting sit and Kagome storming of with Kirara.

Then so the others had gone back to wait for Kagome and to get some rest until she came back from her time. As for Kiwi they had told her about Kagome’s ability to travel through time though they haven’t still tell her everything they had told her why they were pursuing Naraku and why they want to kill him.

That made Kiwi want to really meet this Naraku person more, as she put it. She was a kind hearted person who could even see something good in a person/demon like Naraku, which bothered Inuyasha a little what if she doesn’t let them to kill Naraku seeing something good in him. Though he didn’t voice his concern to anyone.

It had been two days now since they came back to the village making it three days since Kagome went back, an impatient Hanyou and a silent Kitsune sit by the bone-eaters well waiting for the young miko to return.

Getting too impatient and giving up waiting Inuyasha said to Shippo that he was going to get Kagome back, he stood up and turned to jump into the well, but instead of jumping into the well he stood there staring at the forest.

Inuyasha had seen one of Kikiyou’s soul-collectors and he ran off into the forest leaving Shippo by the well and for the time being forgetting Kagome too.

“Hey Inuyasha where are you going? What about Kagome?” Shippo yelled after the fleeting Hanyou. “Go back to the village Shippo I’ll come back with Kagome” Inuyasha yelled back his reply at the small Kitsune before disappearing into the forest, following the soul-collectors.

Begrudgingly Shippo made his way back to the village and went inside Kaede’s hut, “Hey Shippo, where are Inuyasha and Kagome” Sango greeted him when he entered the hut.The only people inside were Sango and Miroku, Kaede had taken Kiwi and gone to gather herbs, the little girl had excitedly followed the old priestess, so the two of them were not there in the hut when Shippo came.

“Hey Sango, Kagome is still not back from her time and Inuyasha he… well I think I saw one of Kikiyou’s soul-collectors, and he… well he ran into the forest telling me to go home” Shippo replied Sango’s question.

“So I assume lady Kagome is still not back from her time?” Miroku asked the little Kitsune who nodded his head in reply.

          “Well then how about we keep this little interaction between those two to ourselves?” Miroku asked the two in the room meaning about Inuyasha and Kikiyou. Sango and Shippo agreed.

          Kagome came from school yelling “Thadhaima (I’m home).” Calling out to see if anybody who cared was at home, and her assumption was correct.

                                                                                                                                      “Welcome home dear” Her mother called from the kitchen as Kagome closed the door, pushing it from her feet.

                                                                                                                                      “Hey mom” Kagome greeted as she ran to upstairs to her room, dumped her bag and ran the water for a nice long soak in the bath tub.

When the water filled she soon undressed and got into the water and sighed, “I wonder why Inuyasha didn’t come, usually he’ll be here before I get home from school. I was half expecting him to be when I came him” Kagome thought.

Inuyasha found Kikiyou near the Goshinboku, the very place she tried to kill him. “Kikiyou…” he said when he saw her.

Kikiyou who was leaning on the tree with her eyes closed looked up when he called her name, his voice just above a whisper. “Inuyasha…” she too said when she saw him her voice not a whisper, but rather her usual cool and emotionless way.

Once he was near enough she pulled him into an embrace and said “I’ve been waiting for you” as he returned her embrace.

Kagome said her goodbyes to her family as she left back to the feudal era, her mother had made lunch for her feudal era friends and Kagome was thankful for it. Then she jumped into the well that took her 500 years back to her friends.

Tossing her huge bag out of the well she too climbed out of the bone-eaters well, and was surprised not to find anyone waiting for her.

As she retrieved her bag and when she turned she thought she saw something in the forest, abandoning her bag by the well she thought of going to investigate.

After following the white glowing thing for a few seconds she realized it was a soul-collector. Curious to what see Kikiyou was doing here she followed the soul-collector, it led her straight to the Goshinboku, near Inu and Kikiyou.

Kagome managed to stifle the gasp that came when she saw Inuyasha and Kikiyou hugging, Kikiyou said something –thought Kagome couldn’t hear them she still could see- and Inu tightened his hold on her.

Kikiyou looked up from his chest and unwrapped her hands from his waist and wrapped them around his neck, then tugging his head forward she pulled him into an intense kiss.

Kikiyou very well knew that they had an audience, to tell the truth that was why she had done it, pull Inu into a kiss I mean.

A sob escaped Kagome’s lips as tears welled up in her eyes, unable to look any more Kagome ran away from the tree, the couple (or so she thought) and ran to the well.

Inuyasha’s sensitive ears heard a sob and he caught the scent of tears followed by the ruffle of trees, for some reason the scent of tears bothered him. He felt like he should know this scent, the scent of those tears.

He looked around trying to catch where that scent was coming from, he looked around. “Something wrong Inuyasha” Kikiyou asked, that’s when it clicked to him that scent was mixed with another very familiar scent.

Something told Inuyasha that Kikiyou knew that Kagome was watching them the whole time and that was why she (Kikiyou) really kissed him.

Upon realizing that Inuyasha leapt away from Kikiyou. “You knew she was here” He said to Kikiyou in a tone of disgust before he ran away into the forest, and after Kagome.

Without really following Kagome’s scent he ran to the village and into Kaede’s hut, He took a look around the hut

Miroku, Sango, Shippo... no Kagome, Kiwi and Kaede had gone to collect herbs. “Where’s Kagome?” he practically yelled at them.

“Calmed down Inuyasha, Kagome haven’t come back still” Miroku replied in his usual calm voice but he was irritated and he was not looking at Inuyasha when he answered, no one was, they were all pissed at him for dissing Kagome, Again.

“Oh she back alright” Inuyasha muttered under his breath sarcastically, but audibly enough that the others heard him.

“Inuyasha are you telling us that Kagome-chan saw you with Kikiyou, again.” Sango asked Inuyasha shocked.

Inuyasha was looking at her with raised eyebrows at the question she asked and it took her a moment to realize what she had just asked.

“Yeah we noticed!” Shippo said under his breath but Inuyasha heard him thanks to his sensitive ears. “You say something runt” he growled at the kitsune and Shippo just gulped and shook his head.

“Inuyasha now is not the time, we have to find Kagome-sama” Miroku said interrupting/stopping the fight between Inu and Shippo.

Inuyasha went out of the hut after glaring at Shippo -as if to tell that he could get him anytime- and the others followed him out, just as Kaede and Kiwi were returning.

Just when Inuyasha was about to take off into the forest in search of Kagome, but Kagome was already heading to the village with that humongous bag pack of hers looking all sad and dejected. But at least she was coming.

“Hey Kagome!” Inuyasha greeted as she came close to the hut, pointedly ignoring Inuyasha she greeted the others and vise versa.

One hour later the whole gang was seen leaving Kaede’s village and back to shard hunting / finding Naraku. Kagome was going in front –alone, her shoulders hunched and her aura imitating sadness.

Inuyasha –with Kiwi on his shoulder- were a few feet behind Kagome, Kiwi confused as to what is happening totally oblivious to all that happened when she was out with Kaede.

Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kirara were  behind the two of them. Shippo on Miroku’s shoulder and Kirara on Sango’s.

 “Nee, Inu-kun, what did you say to Kagome-sama that she is soo pissed and sad?” Kiwi asked Inuyasha not able to keep it to herself any more why Kagome was acting –ur- weird. Also why she was ignoring her brother, so she figured it was one of Inu’s stupid work that had got to Kagome.

“I did nothing?” Inu protested against Kiwi’s question. But did start grumbling, “You better apologize to her and fast” Kiwi whispered in Inu’s ear.

But kiwi’s words did the trick, he gave Kiwi to Sango and in one jump landed right next to Kagome.

“What do you want?” Kagome asked him not even bothering to look up and her voice telling that she didn’t want to talk to him at all.

“Look I’m sorry for whatever on earth I did, okay.  Would you stop sulking now” Inuyasha said in a grumble and as always said his apology like not a apology.

“What am I thinking,? Why am I taking my frustration out on him...? It’s alright Inuyasha you can help it you love her” Kagome said just loud enough for him to hear.

But before Inuyasha could say anything however Kagome stopped dead on her tracks and said in a small voice “I sense a jewel shad, it’s tainted like Naraku’s”.

Not a second after she said that a huge black cloud appeared over them and Miroku said “I sense a very powerful demonic aura”.

Soon after, Naraku appeared inside the barrier, his saimioyousho and his incarnations in tow. Kagura was up in the air in one of her feathers, with Kohaku, watching everything that was going on but not about to partake in the up coming battle.

“Naraku!” Inuyasha spat with distaste as he pulled out Tessaiga, “He is Naraku-kun?” Kiwi asked with interest and a little glee at meeting the infamous Naraku.

“Wow he’s pretty cute to be the bad guy don’t you think?” Kiwi asked no one in particular then rolled her eyes telling “Then again, looks can be deceiving” remembering everything he had done to her friends.

She sprinted down from Sango’s hand and ran to Inuyasha and perched herself on her usual space, that was on his shoulder.

“What do you want Naraku-kun?” Kiwi asked sweetly, too sweetly to be asked from a bad person. “Hand over the jewel shards and I will leave you alone” Naraku said ina too convincing voice, but the others knew better than to trust Naraku and it’ll be when hell freeze over when they themselves hand him the jewel shards.

“Over my dead body you’ll get them Naraku” Inuyasha yelled and released the wind scar full force as he jumped into the air.

Naraku’s barrier somehow prevented the wind scar to reach him, somehow one of his tentacles went full speed ahead heading straight for them.

Kagome noticing it before anyone shot her arrow, it soared through the air and exploded with Naraku’s tentacles. But another tentacle shot from his hand and before anyone could react it wrapped itself around Kagome instead of pierce her heart (or anywhere else) as they had worried.

No one could do anything because Naraku pulled her into the barrier and if they attacked they could hurt Kagome too.

Naraku’s evil laughter filled the clearing they were currently in, as Kagome struggled to get free.
