It's kinda complicated. Directly, she didn't do anything. Inuyasha made a wish on the jewel. It wasn't his job, and on top of that, the wish wasn't completely selfless. It was HIM that was directly responsible for what happened. INDIRECTLY, however, it IS Kagome's fault. By keeping the jewel around and not wishing it away like she should have because she was afraid, she made it possible for Inuyasha to use the jewel, so both of them were punished by the souls within the jewel. Because it wouldn't have happened if she had taken care of it a long time ago, she had to suffer more.

I was so happy to see that this story had been updated when i finally got my computer fixed from its latest crash. And I really loved how you followed Sesshys progression over time, it really showed how much he has evolved from being the ice prince to who he is now. I also wanted to say that the way you wrote about Inu and Kags relationship was perfect. It was very subtle how you expressed the outward appearance of happiness and the inner turmoil that was both of their feelings of unrest. It was very well done. So all in all, I'm still loving this story immensely. Keep up the great work, and I cant wait to read more.

Thank you SO MUCH! I'm glad you appreciate the angst and reality I'm trying to put into the story - everyone expects me to just get rid of Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru to take his place. What kind of story would that be? Unfortunatly, I'm not only going through some stuff, but I'm also house-hunting, so I havne't updated in some time. I think the question asked on the other site was from a lack of experience. You explained it quite well.

It's going to take a couple more chapters for Sesshoumaru to come back into the picture. Her healing won't really do anything to the relationship, per say. She loves that she's useful for once, which I'll be mentioning soon. But Inuyasha is fine with it, although he misses being hanyou. But he doesn't hold it against her, since he made the decision.
Thanks - I thought so too. But perhaps some people haven't experienced a love so strong that it killed them when heartbreak followed. And since I can't formally respond to reviews there (which sucks) I wanted to make it clear for anyone else that might be thinking the same.

Wow! Sess is difinately an idiot, bit at least he has finally come around, even if he is too late in the feudal era, I hope that he makes his move in the present. And now I really fell sorry for Inu. He turned human for her, and she just married him out of guilt. Poor guy. Anyway, I love this story no matter what you do with it, with the exception of killing off the major players of course, and I cant wait to read more!

Well, the whole point was to get Sesshoumaru into her time. Now that that has been accompished, I have some fleshing out of the story to do, and then we'll see what happens.

And no, it's not too late, because Sesshoumaru now lives in Kagome's time.
Inuyasha was my first love, but there are a LOT of good anime out there. Besides, I like Inuyasha's manga more than the anime, because it's canon, and the anime is NOT.

I agree with what you said about the castle thing but in the manga his mother did have a castle and would seem that family and heritage in japan being what it is they would pass it from one to another or at least he would have a place to go believe it is the part of the manga that he and kohaku go to hell to save rin they go to his mother's to ask her advice on how to save her.

Yeah, I remember the castle she had, but I don't think Sesshoumaru wants any part of it. It seems that she enjoys the finer things in life, and so she has adapted to the lifestyle. Sesshoumaru seems to be happier traipsing around the wilderness, lol. Of course, in the future, he'll need money and a place to live, but that will all come in time.

Realistically, I don't think he would have wanted it. But in my story, it makes sense, since he doesn't want to remind Kagome of Sesshoumaru. He just wants to be Inuyasha. But there's another purpose to this, and it'll be more clear later. I just can't give anything away so soon.
The next chapter's ready, so you won't have to wait long. I'm just going to do a little of chapter 15 first.

also i would like to add, why doesn't sesshoumaru have a palace, he's a lord, so he should have a palace and guards, in japan back in the day they built the lords home on a hill. in the other stories he always had lots of money and a place he could call home not the wilderness.
Author's Response: In the manga, it's never been said that he does or doesn't have any of those things. I prefer to think he doesn't have that stuff. He's not an all-conquering lord, like Oda Nobunaga. He has his land, and that's all he cares about. He doesn't need money (what would he use it for?) and he wouldn't have a castle or palace, because he can hardly stand Jaken, so it doesn't make sense. Other people write that stuff in their stories because they need it - my story doesn't require it - in fact, there would be no point, because as time went on, it would get torn down anyways, in Kagome's time. In the manga, he's constantly traveling throughout Japan and that's how I'm keeping him.

Wow, Sess and Kag are really beating themselves up over this. Great job with all the inner musings of Sess, you can tell how tortured his soul really is about all this. And i am so happy that he is still watching out for Rin even in his disjointed way. I really love how this is unfolding and i cant wait to read more on it. Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying the angsty-ness of this story, since it's my favorite element. To me, it would take a miracle to get the real Sesshoumaru and Kagome together, but if their bond would break, it would take even more to get them back together. That's the point of my story - I'm tired of stories that think that they can just stick these two together and they'd fall in love. That's ridiculous! But there's a lot of controversy over this story (not here) and I'm glad I'm more than half done with this. It's too hard trying to defend myself at every turn. So I'm quite glad you're enjoying it! And of course I'll respond - you guys are the reason I write, so I'm grateful to you! Thanks for really 'getting' this story!

Actually, I have a really good friend in the computer business and he told me not to make a gaia profile. It's beneficial for my computer, haha. I know that story, it's by a friend of mine. ^^ But nothing can take the place of my favorite SessKag story of all time, "Tales from the House of the Moon."
I used to really resent Inuyasha for how he treated Kagome, but ever since the manga ended, I haven't been able to hate him. I wanted to do this story so that Inuyasha would be happy, but in the end, Kagome would be with Sesshoumaru. So this story came out and this is how it's going - she's with Inuyasha FOR NOW, and a few chapters down the road, we'll REALLY see Sesshoumaru. But you have to be patient. I write the way I write for a reason.

I know that i just reviewed, but after sseeing the other reviews, I just wanted to say that you are doing a great job. Even with the Inu/Kag line of it, it is angst after all, and I definately will continue reading it no matter what. Its just to good of a story to be biased on the pairing. There are so many plot twists and evil cliffys to stop. I really dont mind if their is an Inu/Kag lemon, it would definately add to the story line and theme of all the difficult emotions that have been going on in this story. Again, keep up the great work, I cant wait to read more on this one. I'll stop now, my reviews on this story always go kinda long, but i just love it so much.

I don't know if you're familiar with the Dokuga site, but one of my best reviewers left me a long message saying she un-faved my story because it became InuKag and Dokuga is a SessKag site. I don't know how many more times I have to write in my notes that I'm not abandoning the SessKag pairing, this is just part of the plot. As an Inuyasha fan, I had no other way of making both Sesshoumaru AND Inuyasha happy, and this story was born of it. I'm sorry so many people have a problem with it, but this is my story.
